It was blue steel all over the place at Valentino’s Paris Fall/Winter 2015 Fashion Week Show. Everyone’s favorite fictional male models, Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald are back! Comedians Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, who play the hilariously stereotypical cat walkers, took to the runway in character to announce the sequel to the 2001 hit comedy, Zoolander. Zoolander 2, Paramount announced, will arrive in theaters February 2016.
The really, really ridiculously good looking pair strutted their stuff to “Don’t You Want Me” by The Human League wearing silk, blue Valentino ready to wear. Famed Vine star Jerome Jarre was in on the fun with his cell phone being snagged by Zoolander as he passed him on the runway and continued to selfie himself to the end.
While the two stars surprising editors and bloggers on the runway was amazing, it could be argued that the real magic happened backstage before the show. American Vogue editor, Anna Wintour, who is rumored to be a, for lack of a better term, the Devil in Prada (see what we did there?!)- joined the duo backstage before the show for some fun video where she asks to see their walks- Zoolander goes onto explain “Usually I go right, left, right, left, right, left, but today I am going to start left in honor of how the sun rotates.” Hansel on the other hand, had decided he would “hover” rather than walk to reduce his carbon footprint.
